Riley Burruss says her parents’ split has been difficult for her, explaining that a divorce affects more than just the two people involved. During a July 10 appearance on Today on Sirius XM, she told Talia Parkinson-Jones that she has had a hard time with the change, according to E! News.
The Next Gen NYC star said she learned about Kandi Burruss and Todd Tucker’s Nov. 21 separation while filming the second season of Bravo’s kids-focused spinoff. Riley described the past year as one of adjusting to a new normal and said the experience has been confusing at times.
Riley also said she has turned to her mother for support and has learned from Kandi’s strength and the way she protects her children. She noted that Kandi has shown courage through the breakup and has tried to shield the family as much as possible.
Kandi has previously said the breakup was the result of issues that had been building for some time. In an Amazon Livestream, she said she had been going through a difficult period and described the situation as something that had been brewing for a while, according to E! News.
