Remi Wolf has announced a new album titled Mud, which is set to arrive on October 9 through Island, according to Pitchfork.
In comments about the project, Wolf said she felt “covered in shit” while making the record, but added that by the end of the album process she felt “so clean and clear.”
Wolf returned last month with “Twiggy,” her first single in two years following Big Ideas. She first performed the song during a surprise appearance in Hayley Williams’ set at Newport Folk Festival the weekend before its release, and said it was written about people she had dated who lacked “both butts and emotional availability.”
Pitchfork also shared the tracklist for Mud, which includes songs such as “Bottle,” “Champagne,” “Burn Me Blue,” “Moon So High,” “I Won’t Cry,” and “Yellow Rose.”
