Noel and Liam Gallagher to attend Venice premiere of Oasis documentary

Noel and Liam Gallagher are reportedly set to attend the Venice Film Festival together for the premiere of an Oasis documentary focused on the band’s 2024 reunion and Live ’25 tour, according to NME.

The film, titled Don’t Look Back In Anger, is being produced by Steven Knight and directed by Dylan Southern and Will Lovelace. It will screen in the festival’s Out of Competition – Non Fiction section.

During a press conference announcing the lineup, Venice Film Festival president Alberto Barbera said the documentary follows the two brothers, who had not spoken for 12 years before reconciling and preparing for the tour. He also told the audience that the Gallagher brothers had promised to be in Venice.

The film’s trailer was released earlier this month and included interview clips with Noel and Liam as well as scenes of large crowds at the band’s shows. The documentary is scheduled for a limited theatrical run from September 11, including IMAX screenings, before it streams later on Disney+ worldwide and on Disney+ with Hulu in the US in 2026.

In a recent social media exchange, Liam Gallagher dismissed talk of new Oasis music, saying the band should focus on playing gigs instead. Oasis last released an album in 2008 with Dig Out Your Soul.
