Noah Kahan’s concert at Citi Field in Queens was cancelled Saturday night because of severe weather in the New York City area, according to NME.
The venue said it made the call after spending the afternoon watching weather patterns, with rain, thunderstorms, damaging wind gusts and possible flash flooding expected into the night. Citi Field said safety was the top concern in deciding to cancel the show.
Kahan also posted an update for fans on Instagram, saying he had “exhausted every option” to make the concert happen and adding a message of love for fans.
The cancelled performance was supposed to be the first of two nights at Citi Field, and no new date has been announced for the July 18 show. NME also reported that Zeds Dead’s Saturday night concert at Forest Hills Stadium was cancelled because of the same stormy weather.
