Brie Garcia was hospitalized on Aug. 1 after suffering a shoulder injury during SummerSlam in Minneapolis, according to E! News. The injury became noticeable after she competed in a Six-Woman Tag Team Match.
Brie, along with Nikki Garcia and Paige, also known as Saraya-Jade Bevis, defeated Fatal Influence in the match. Even so, Brie was seen holding her shoulder in pain afterward.
During an Aug. 2 appearance on Busted Open Radio, Nikki Garcia said her sister is “doing OK” but is still dealing with a lot of pain. She added that doctors are still trying to determine exactly what is wrong, and said Brie would share more when she is ready.
WWE Chief Content Officer Paul “Triple H” Levesque also said at an Aug. 1 press conference that Brie had been treated at the event and then taken to the hospital for scans. He said there was not yet a clear answer about the injury, though it appears to be serious.
