Nick Jonas and Priyanka Chopra Jonas looked back at the first direct messages they exchanged, with the couple reacting as Nick’s brothers Joe and Kevin read the messages aloud on the July 14 episode of Hey Jonas, according to E! News.
Nick said he first reached out after seeing Priyanka on a billboard for Quantico, even though he had not watched the ABC series. In the exchange, he asked if she would be in Los Angeles soon, while Priyanka replied that a mutual friend, Graham Rogers, had spoken highly of him and suggested they text in a more private space.
Nick also said he asked Priyanka to send a photo with a timestamp when they first started texting so he could confirm her identity. Priyanka joked that she thought he was suspicious at first, but said she appreciated the caution.
The couple’s relationship eventually moved from messages to marriage. E! News notes that they began dating in May 2018, got engaged in July 2018, and married in two ceremonies in India later that year.
Nick and Priyanka later welcomed their first child, Malti Marie, in January 2022. Priyanka was also there for major moments in Nick’s career, including supporting the Jonas Brothers’ reunion tour.
