More lane restrictions are now in place on State Route 347 as work continues on the highway improvement project, according to InMaricopa.
Northbound and southbound traffic between Casa Blanca Road and Mammoth Way is reduced to one lane for weekend paving. The restrictions started at 8 p.m. Thursday and will run around the clock until early Monday morning.
Northbound SR 347 is narrowed to one lane from Casa Blanca Road to Mammoth Way until 4 a.m. Monday, Aug. 24. Southbound SR 347 is narrowed to one lane from Mammoth Way to Casa Blanca Road until 5 a.m. Monday.
Additional overnight restrictions are scheduled for later in the week. From Monday, Aug. 24, through Friday, Aug. 28, northbound SR 347 will be narrowed to one lane between Casa Blanca Road and Mammoth Way from 8 p.m. to 4 a.m. for surveying and materials testing, while southbound SR 347 will be reduced to one lane between Mammoth Way and Casa Blanca Road from 8 p.m. to 5 a.m. for the same work.
ADOT is asking drivers to slow down, obey posted speed limits, merge carefully and plan for extra travel time in the work zone. The agency also says no construction work is planned from noon Friday, Sept. 4, through the morning of Tuesday, Sept. 8, for the Labor Day holiday.
