KPop Demon Hunters stays in Netflix’s top films nearly a year later

Netflix’s Top 10 most watched films of 2026 so far includes Kpop Demon Hunters, which remains one of the platform’s biggest titles nearly a year after it first arrived, according to NME.

The animated film, which follows the K-Pop girl group HUNTR/X as they perform by day and hunt demons by night, has become Netflix’s most watched film ever since its release last year. Its popularity has also helped the song “Golden,” written for the movie, collect major honors including two Oscars, a Grammy and two Golden Globes.

In 2026 alone, the movie’s continued success has led Netflix to bring it back for another round of cinema screenings and announce a global live tour. The film also ranked in the Top Five of Netflix’s 2026 streaming list with 130 million views in the past seven months.

Only three films passed it on the list: Swapped with 130.8 million views, The Rip with 136.1 million views and War Machine, which led the rankings with 146.9 million views. Netflix has already confirmed that a sequel to Kpop Demon Hunters is on the way, and the film is also set for a Criterion Collection physical release on December 31.
