Justin Bieber’s 16-year-old half-brother, Jaxon Bieber, has revealed his first tattoo, according to E! News. The teen shared a photo on Instagram on Aug. 4 showing the script “John 3:17” tattooed on his right rib cage.
The verse refers to a Bible passage that says, “For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but to save the world through him.” Jaxon kept his caption simple, writing, “Tatted.”
Jaxon is the son of Justin and Jaxon’s father, Jeremy Bieber, and Jeremy’s ex, Erin Wagner. He has mostly stayed out of the public eye in recent years, though he last appeared publicly with Justin at the 2016 Grammy Awards.
The new tattoo also connects to Justin’s own history, since the singer got his first tattoo when he was 16 as well. Justin now has more than 60 tattoos, many tied to his religious beliefs, according to E! News.
