JISOO appeared on Thursday’s episode of Hot Ones, completing the BLACKPINK lineup on the show and talking about her upcoming debut solo album, her favorite English phrases and her love of spicy food before performances, according to Billboard.
During the interview, JISOO said she wanted the project to show a range of different charms and musical styles she enjoys. She explained that moving from group work to a solo mini album last year made her feel she needed to keep exploring her own colors through the new project.
She said the new album is a bigger step and that she is working hard on it. JISOO also shared that one of her favorite English phrases is “Piece of cake,” a phrase her bandmates taught her, and she likes using it to surprise people.
JISOO made it through most of the spicy wing challenge before reaching for milk and ice cream near the end. She also said she often eats spicy foods in the two hours before a concert because it relaxes her throat, helps her sing better and relieves stress.
Billboard noted that BLACKPINK’s EP Deadline reached No. 8 on the Billboard 200, and JISOO’s debut solo album will follow her February 2025 EP AMORTAGE.
