Hayley Williams turned her Newport Folk Festival set into a guest-heavy showcase on Friday night, bringing out a long list of artists including Wednesday, This Is Lorelei, Jack Antonoff, Jenny Lewis, Lucy Dacus, Remi Wolf, and more, according to Stereogum.
Williams performed only two songs on her own during the set: “Ego Death At A Bachelorette Party” and “Kill Me.” Wednesday’s Karly Hartzman joined her for “Mirtazapine,” while This Is Lorelei’s Nate Amos helped out on “I’m All Fucked Up.”
The evening also included performances with Joy Oladokun on “I’d Miss The Birds,” Liam Benzvi on “Thin Air,” Annie DiRusso on “Disappearing Man,” and Jenny Lewis on Rilo Kiley’s “Silver Lining.” Williams also made live debuts of several songs, including “Leave It Alone,” “Roses/Lotus/Violet/Iris,” and “Find Me Here.”
Later in the set, Antonoff joined Williams for an acoustic version of Bleachers’ “I Wanna Get Better” along with her song “Good Ol’ Days.” The night ended with many of the guests onstage for Bill Withers’ “Lean On Me,” including a puppy that also came out for the finale, according to Stereogum.
