Gracie Abrams has released her third studio album, Daughter From Hell, a 16-track project that follows last year’s The Secret of Us (Deluxe), according to Rolling Stone.
During an underplay show at Bowery Ballroom on Tuesday, Abrams said the album came out of a quiet period after she and her band had gone their separate ways following tour. She also said her 20s have felt both isolating and exciting in different ways.
The album was produced by the National’s Aaron Dessner, who also worked on Abrams’ first two albums, Good Riddance and The Secret of Us. It features writing credits from Justin Vernon of Bon Iver, Abrams’ longtime friend Audrey Hobert, and her partner Paul Mescal, who co-wrote “Imaginary Friend.”
Since announcing the album in May, Abrams has released two singles, “Hit the Wall” and “Look at My Life.” She is also set to launch the Look at My Life Tour in Denver on Dec. 2.
