Frankie Valli says he is not retiring, after his brother Bobby Valli said the Four Seasons frontman would be stepping away from show business, according to E! News.
In an Aug. 14 Instagram post, Frankie wrote, “In spite of what you might have heard, I am not retired,” alongside a photo of himself performing onstage.
The clarification came two days after Bobby posted on Facebook that Frankie would retire after a long career that included more than 100 million records sold and induction into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. Bobby later said he was “misinformed” and apologized for the mix-up.
Frankie, 92, had previously eased fan concerns about his health by saying in May that he was canceling the remaining 2026 dates of The Last Encores farewell tour to focus on his health. He wrote then that he was taking time off from touring but hoped to return soon.
Despite the speculation, Frankie has continued to express his passion for performing, writing in June that the stage has “always been home” after more than 60 years on it.
