Eric Dane and Rebecca Gayheart’s daughter Georgia Dane is making her acting debut, according to E! News. The 14-year-old has landed her first role in the Lifetime movie The Ocean Between Them.
The network announced on Aug. 18 that the film will premiere Sept. 26. In the mother-daughter drama, Gayheart plays a devoted mother whose life changes when her daughter Miranda goes missing at sea during a family vacation in Belize.
Jessica Lord plays the older daughter stranded at sea, while Georgia appears in a special part as the younger version of Gayheart’s character’s daughter on screen.
Georgia’s first role comes during a difficult year for the family. The article notes that Eric Dane died on Feb. 19 at age 53 from complications related to amyotrophic lateral sclerosis, or ALS. In June, Gayheart also celebrated Georgia’s middle school graduation and praised her daughter’s strength and achievements.
