Secret Lives of Mormon Wives star Dakota Mortensen is dating show guest star Shinia Powell, according to multiple outlets confirmed by E! News. The relationship news comes as Mortensen continues a custody battle with ex Taylor Frankie Paul over their 2-year-old son.
Powell was introduced to viewers in season four as the best friend of cast member Miranda Hope. E! News said it reached out to representatives for Mortensen and Powell for comment but had not received a response.
Speculation about the pair had been circulating for months. On the show, Mortensen apologized to Paul for hooking up with Powell, saying he was sorry for the problems it caused and admitting he should have chosen someone else.
Paul later said in a confessional that she felt the apology was only words. Their personal history has also played out alongside legal issues involving their family, including the ongoing custody dispute and earlier court proceedings related to Paul.
