Courtney Love says her next album is complete as she prepares to step back from social media for a while and focus on other work, according to Rolling Stone.
In a video posted to Instagram, the Hole frontwoman said she has “done” the record and described it as a project she put a lot of effort into. She also said she needs to handle some “analog stuff” over the next few weeks.
Love also reflected on a health crisis she experienced after moving from Los Angeles to London in 2019. She did not specify the illness, but said her body “exploded,” she spent a lot of time in hospitals, lost all her hair and dropped to about 100 pounds. “I almost died,” she said, adding that doctors told her she was going to die.
Despite that scare, Love said she recovered and is now healthy. She also talked about working with collaborators including Green Day’s Billie Joe Armstrong and longtime friend Michael Stipe, and said she wants to tour and keep singing.
