Billboard has published its latest Friday Music Guide, pointing listeners to the new releases it says are the most essential picks of the week and the songs likely to dominate playlists this weekend and beyond.
Among the headline releases is Gracie Abrams’ third album, Daughter From Hell, arriving two years after The Secret of Us helped raise her profile. Billboard says the new project was made at producer Aaron Dessner’s Long Pond studio and includes the singles “Hit the Wall” and “Look at My Life,” along with the focus track “Good Reason.”
Steve Lacy is also back with his third album, Oh Yeah?, nearly four years after Gemini Rights. According to Billboard, the new album features SZA, Erykah Badu and Cecile Believe, and finds Lacy leaning into more personal lyrics over a mix of synths and guitars.
Carly Rae Jepsen continues her Day and Night album rollout with “After All,” the second single from the upcoming double album. Billboard also highlights new music from Bella Kay, Dexter and The Moonrocks, Rick Ross and Buju Banton in this week’s roundup.
