BigXthaPlug was arrested again on Aug. 21, 2026, according to Stereogum, exactly one year after a previous arrest on similar charges. This latest arrest involved driving while intoxicated, marijuana possession of less than two ounces, and unlawful possession of a firearm.
The rapper was taken into custody in the Dallas suburb of Allen and booked into the Collin County Jail. Because of the arrest, he did not perform his headlining set at Winnipeg's Country Rising Festival on Friday.
Festival organizers said on Instagram that he was unable to appear because of a personal emergency. According to The Des Moines Register, BigXthaPlug was also scheduled to perform at the Iowa State Fair.
As of Saturday morning, records showed that he had not yet been released, the Register reported.
