Leslie Mann is opening up about what has helped keep her marriage to Judd Apatow going for nearly three decades. On the Aug. 20 episode of Kylie Kelce’s Not Gonna Lie podcast, the actress said the biggest secret is “accepting how hard it is” instead of pretending otherwise, according to E! News.
Mann said it can be damaging to compare her relationship to other couples who describe perfect marriages or say they never fight. She joked that those conversations can make her question her own marriage, but added that she cannot imagine leaving now after almost 30 years.
The couple married in June 1997 and share two daughters, Maude Apatow and Iris Apatow. Mann said what keeps them together is that they still entertain each other, laugh together and remain best friends. She also said she tells him everything.
Mann added that her relationship has taught her a lot over the years. She also said her approach to self-care has changed as her daughters have gotten older, telling E! News that she has more time for herself now and is better about making it a priority.
