Big Thief introduced their next album, Horsepower, during a private show at Nashville’s Ryman Auditorium on Thursday night, according to Pitchfork. The record is a triple album and includes 29 songs.
Frontwoman Adrienne Lenker told the audience not to expect familiar songs, but the band went on to perform the album in full. The set was not presented in album order, and several of the songs had already been performed or developed in earlier live settings.
The show also included guest appearances from Iris Dement, Gillian Welch, and Lucinda Williams, who joined the trio onstage. Photos and video were not allowed at the event, though Pitchfork published the set list from the night.
Big Thief released their most recent album, Double Infinity, in 2025. The band is scheduled to begin another North American tour next month, ending with a final show at Denver’s Red Rocks on October 6.
