Bibio and Dorian Concept are set to release a collaborative album titled Answers, according to Pitchfork. The project arrives October 16 via Warp Records.
The album blends IDM, folk, and field recordings. The duo have already introduced the release with the single “Shame,” and they recently shared a music video for “Lichen Trip.”
Pitchfork reports that the collaboration grew out of Bibio seeing Dorian Concept’s visuals for the 2022 track “Let It All Go.” That sparked a conversation about making an audio-visual project together.
Answers will include 13 tracks, among them “Womb Glow,” “Pigeon Harp,” “Jelly Pencil,” and “Pomegranate.” Pitchfork also notes that five music videos were made for the album using a mix of digital and analogue video equipment.
