Beck has announced a new album titled Ride Lonesome and released a new single, “In The Night,” according to NME.
The album is set for release on September 18 through Capitol Records and will be Beck’s first full-length studio project since 2019’s Hyperspace. It follows Everybody’s Gotta Learn Sometime, which came out in January and included rarities, deep cuts and covers.
According to NME, the new record was produced by Beck and mixed by Nigel Godrich. It also reunites him with the touring and recording musicians he worked with on Sea Change, Morning Phase and Mutations.
Beck said the album was recorded at his favorite studio in Hollywood and described the process as both a return to familiar creative ground and a chance to find new sounds and emotional textures. He also said working again with Godrich felt like a continuation of the partnership that shaped Morning Phase.
The album release comes just ahead of Beck’s North American “Lonesome Ride” tour, which begins September 16 in Vancouver and wraps up October 31 in Nashville.
