Police and sheriff’s deputies in Alabama took on an unusual assignment after a 1,500-pound bull escaped and wandered near Pickens Academy, according to UPI Odd News.
The Pickens County Sheriff's Office said deputies responded with officers from the Carrollton Police Department when the longhorn was spotted in the area.
Officials said the bull led responders on a chase across Highway 17 and back toward the neighborhood where it had first been seen.
A video posted by the sheriff’s office showed responders on horseback trying to lasso the animal. The sheriff’s office said the bull was safely rounded up without injury.
