aespa kicked off its fourth world tour, SYNK : COMPLæXITY, with two opening-night concerts in Seoul on Aug. 7 and 8, according to Billboard. The shows took place at Gocheok Sky Dome and drew a combined 35,000 fans.
The group — Karina, Winter, Giselle and Ningning — performed 27 songs over roughly two-and-a-half hours. The concert was structured around a storyline called “CRACK,” which is described as a rupture that sends aespa into conflict with altered versions of ae-aespa.
The setlist mixed new material from LEMONADE with established hits, along with solo and unit performances, VCR segments and large-scale choreography. Billboard noted that songs like “LEMONADE,” “Switchblade,” “Bite,” “SHAKIN'” and “Can’t Help Myself” grew especially strong in the live setting.
Other highlights included solo stages from each member, unit performances, a lighter moment with “KISS N TELL,” and a strong late-show run featuring “Armageddon,” “Drama” and “Next Level.” Billboard said the Seoul kickoff gave fans an early look at how aespa is carrying its signature style into the new tour.
