Maricopa police and firefighters responded Thursday afternoon to a report of a person injured on railroad tracks near Maricopa-Casa Grande Highway and Santa Rosa Parkway, according to InMaricopa.
Officers were called around 2:40 p.m. to help in a mutual aid capacity with the incident, which falls under Union Pacific Railroad’s jurisdiction.
At this time, it is not known why the person was on the tracks or how serious the injuries are.
InMaricopa said it contacted Union Pacific for more information.
