Tyrese Haliburton and Jade Jones are now legally married after a courthouse ceremony in Indianapolis, according to E! News.
The Indiana Pacers point guard and Jones, who have been together for seven years, got engaged nearly a year ago before making it official at the government building. Photos shared on Instagram July 21 showed the couple with family and friends outside the courthouse.
For the occasion, Haliburton wore a black T-shirt and pants, while Jones wore a white cocktail dress and carried flowers. Jones captioned the post, “It’s (courthouse) official.”
Although they are already married, the couple is still preparing for a formal wedding celebration over the July 31 weekend. Haliburton also commented on one of Jones’ posts, saying, “2 more weeks we changing that last name.”
Jones, a former Iowa State cheerleader, met Haliburton when they were both student athletes at the university. She has also recently spoken about the loss of her close friend Makenzi Kern, who died last month from undisclosed health complications.
