Turnstile draws 60,000 to Washington Monument benefit show for Palestine, Sudan and Lebanon

Turnstile wrapped up its second North American tour in support of Never Enough with a large free concert at the National Mall in Washington, D.C., on October 24, according to Pitchfork. The show was organized as a benefit for Human Concern International’s relief work in Palestine, Sudan and Lebanon.

According to the Baltimore Banner, the first two fans in line for the 3 p.m. show arrived at 5 a.m. The National Park Service estimated that around 60,000 people attended. Turnstile had hoped to raise $150,000 for Human Concern International, but the official LaunchGood campaign had collected more than $250,000 as of the report.

During the set, frontman Brendan Yates thanked the crowd for turning out and supporting the cause. He said the band had been shaped by a scene that taught them music reflects not just the artists who make it, but also the people, the world, and the suffering and joy around it.

Yates ended the moment by leading the crowd in a chant calling for “Free Palestine! Free Sudan! Free Lebanon!” Pitchfork noted that the Washington benefit show was Turnstile’s biggest to date, though the band has previously played free shows for charity, including a 2025 hometown performance in Baltimore that raised more than $35,000 for Health Care for the Homeless.
