Drivers who use State Route 347 for their evening commute should plan for more lane restrictions starting tonight, according to InMaricopa.
The Arizona Department of Transportation says overnight paving work will continue through Aug. 7, with lane reductions and some turn restrictions in place at Riggs Road. Most of the construction will happen overnight, though some of the restrictions may last into Saturday morning.
Beginning Sunday, Aug. 2, southbound SR 347 between Riggs Road and Mammoth Way will be reduced to one lane each night from 8 p.m. to 5 a.m. through Friday, Aug. 7.
ADOT is advising drivers to allow extra travel time, slow down in the work zone and watch for crews and equipment. The agency also says the schedule could change because of weather or other unforeseen issues.
