Post Malone helped launch the 2026 FIFA World Cup final with a closing ceremony performance that featured the live debut of a new song, according to Billboard.
Performing at MetLife Stadium in East Rutherford, New Jersey, Malone opened with an unreleased track believed to be titled “Chrome Heartbreaker.” He followed that with “Wow.,” his 2019 hit that reached No. 2 on the Billboard Hot 100.
Malone then brought out Swae Lee for “Sunflower,” the chart-topping collaboration from the 2018 animated film Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse. He appeared in his signature denim and cowboy hat, and wore a shirt that read, “I Just Hope Both Teams Have Fun.”
Before Malone’s set, streamer IShowSpeed performed “Champions” with drummers and dancers, and FIFA said the ceremony was designed to build momentum ahead of the championship match between Argentina and Spain. The event also included performances or appearances from Jennifer Hudson, Nicole Scherzinger, Laura Pausini, Robbie Williams and Tom Cruise, according to Billboard.
