NBA YoungBoy is sharing a new life update after revealing he was diagnosed with a heart condition, according to E! News. The rapper, whose real name is Kentrell DeSean Gaulden, said a doctor told him the left side of his heart was swollen and that it is still enlarged on one side.
Gaulden discussed the diagnosis during the Aug. 11 episode of the Open Thoughts podcast with Funny Marco. He said he kept performing through the health issue without telling anyone, and believes fans may have heard the impact in his music.
The Baton Rouge native said he expects to record only one or two more albums, including a project currently titled All Dogs Go to Heaven, which he says should arrive before his Oct. 20 birthday. He also said he plans to tour only one more time in his life.
Gaulden also said he does not plan to move back to the United States, telling the podcast, “Never in life.” He said he decided to stay in Korea during his first visit in 2026 because it feels safer and cleaner, though he noted he cannot be in his home there until he gets a visa.
