A motorcyclist was injured Friday afternoon after a crash on John Wayne Parkway in Maricopa, according to InMaricopa.
The collision happened around 3 p.m. at John Wayne Parkway and Hathaway Avenue when a sedan and a sports bike crashed, the report said. A witness described seeing a person on a stretcher and a white sedan with front-end damage.
Traffic in the area was slowed following the crash. InMaricopa said it contacted the Maricopa Police Department for more information about the injuries and what caused the collision.
In an update at 3:43 p.m., a Maricopa Police Department spokesperson said the motorcyclist was taken to a nearby hospital with a possible broken arm and injuries that were not considered life-threatening.
