The second round of unofficial election results released Tuesday night showed little change in Maricopa’s local races, according to InMaricopa. Aside from Democrats holding slight leads in some state contests, the city and school board results remained largely the same.
For Maricopa City Council, Tena Dugan continued to lead for the first seat, while Councilmember Henry Wade was ahead in the race for the second. Vice Mayor Vincent Manfredi and Chrystal O’Jon were separated by less than 1 percentage point.
In the Maricopa Unified School District Governing Board race, incumbent Lisa Garcia and challenger Loraine Conley remained in the top two spots. They were followed by Latrinda Williams, Patti Coutre and Nicolas Yendrzeski. Proposition 416, the district’s 10% maintenance and operations override, was also passing by 20 percentage points.
According to data from the Pinal County Recorder’s Office, 105,993 ballots had been counted countywide among 291,682 registered voters in Pinal County, for about 36% turnout. InMaricopa said the next update was expected around 3 a.m. Wednesday.
