Margaret Qualley introduced a new and unconventional shoe trend at the London premiere of The Dog Stars, where she wore Chanel’s lace-up leather heel-cap “sandals,” according to E! News.
The design, created by Matthieu Blazy, was first shown on Chanel’s cruise 2027 runway in Biarritz, France. The shoe covers only the heel area, while the sole and toes remain exposed.
E! News notes that the style is not available for purchase and was intended to be polarizing. The look has already drawn attention as one of the most unusual red carpet footwear choices in recent memory.
The outlet also pointed out that Qualley is not the first celebrity to go nearly barefoot in public, citing past appearances by stars including Keke Palmer, Jennifer Lopez, Anne Hathaway, Kesha and Doechii.
