Kim Basinger was seen out in Los Angeles on Aug. 17 in a rare public appearance, according to E! News. The 72-year-old actress was photographed during a casual errand run nearly a decade after her last major acting role.
Basinger kept her look simple and makeup-free, wearing a dark charcoal zip-up sweatshirt, loose cropped jeans, black sandals and socks. She also carried a striped woven tote and wore black sunglasses, with her blonde hair pulled into a high bun.
The Never Say Never Again and Batman actress last appeared on screen in the 2018 film Fifty Shades Freed. In a February 2025 interview with Variety, Basinger said she has not left acting, but is very selective about the projects she considers.
She also told the publication that acting remains deeply important to her and said it is the thing that has kept her going emotionally and physically. Basinger, who has been in a relationship with hairstylist Mitch Stone since 2014, also spoke last year about her cordial relationship with ex-husband Alec Baldwin, with whom she shares daughter Ireland Baldwin.
