Jack White’s Third Man Records has announced a five-city pop-up store tour across the UK and Ireland, according to NME.
The run will visit independent record shops in Bristol, Newcastle, Belfast, Dublin and Glasgow between August 28 and September 20. Each stop is set to offer exclusive vinyl, limited-edition merchandise, posters and books.
The pop-ups will also feature homemade “bootleg” editions of White’s records, with each copy packaged in a hand-screen-printed sleeve. The items will be sold on a first-come, first-served basis while supplies last.
Third Man Records said the “bootlegs” are tied to the Frozen Charlatan character from the cover of White’s new album Frozen Charlotte, with the figure described as having stolen a cache of the musician’s records to distribute at the events.
Most of the pop-up stops line up with dates on White’s upcoming UK and Ireland tour in support of Frozen Charlotte. White founded Third Man Records in Detroit in 2001, and the label now also has locations in Nashville and London.
