Billboard is asking readers to choose the best song ever to peak at No. 2 on the Billboard Hot 100, according to Billboard.
The publication recently highlighted its staff’s top 100 songs that reached the runner-up spot on the chart, then narrowed that list to a poll featuring 10 standout tracks from across different eras and genres.
Among the songs in the poll are Queen’s “Bohemian Rhapsody,” Prince and the Revolution’s “Purple Rain,” Lady Gaga’s “Bad Romance” and Missy Elliott’s “Work It.” Billboard also included an “Other” option for fans whose favorite No. 2 hit did not make the ballot.
Billboard said the selections reflect just a small sample of the many memorable songs that came within one spot of the top of the Hot 100. The outlet added that fans can vote for their pick and suggest another No. 2 hit that deserves recognition.
