Biffy Clyro have partnered with mental health charity CALM to release a new “Mountains” T-shirt aimed at raising money and awareness for suicide prevention, according to NME.
The design is based on the Scottish band’s 2008 single “Mountains,” which later appeared on their 2009 album Only Revolutions. It features an all-black look with red text, including the lyric “I am a mountain. I am the sea.”
The shirt is on sale now for £30, and money from sales will go toward CALM’s services, including its suicide prevention helpline and the CALMzone mental health app.
Frontman Simon Neil said the song is about finding belief in yourself when others may not see it, and added that the band was pleased to support CALM. CALM CEO Simon Gunning said the collaboration shows how music can be used as a force for good.
The partnership comes after Biffy Clyro have spoken publicly in the past about the importance of mental health, including calls for more people experiencing depression to speak out and seek help.
