Animal control officials in Grundy County, Illinois, say an African serval that had been on the loose for several days has been safely captured, according to UPI Odd News.
The wild cat, which is about the size of a medium-sized dog, had been spotted multiple times around the Gardner area before it was found.
Grundy County Animal Control said the owner worked with officers to locate and capture the animal. The agency also thanked a resident who helped during the search and people who reported sightings.
Officials said the serval will soon be back home with its family.
